I felt really bad at the end of the comic since superman was portrayed as an evil in the end but all he wanted to do with communism was to make the world a better place which was obliviously done by lex luthor after he died (superman dies , not clark ;)). It's just a strange spectacle with a bit of uneven pacing and muddled messaging. The character dates back to 1964 and has gone through many iterations.
